Holidaymakers longing to escape to the sun have a choice of destinations on their doorstep with the launch of Norwich Airport’s annual destination guide, FLY. The launch follows surge of interest and bookings for 2021 and 2022 holidays, fuelled by the Government’s announced roadmap to ease lockdown restrictions.
FLY Norwich 2021-22 features 18 destinations in 9 countries. Returning for 2021 are Bulgaria, Corfu, Dalaman and the Spanish destination of Majorca on the Balearic Islands, as well as the Italian Lakes. Daily flights to Amsterdam Schiphol return in May 2021, offering global onward connectivity, whilst passengers can also fly to four UK destinations being Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey.
Making a welcome return for winter 2021 are day trips to Lapland and the Northern Lights, with the year-round destination of Tenerife in the Canary Islands offering the opportunity for winter sun. Looking ahead to 2022, flights to the two Greek islands Crete and Rhodes return, as do direct flights from Norwich Airport to Ibiza, Menorca and Paphos.
Countries reached directly from Norwich Airport in 2021-22 include Bulgaria (Bourgas), Cyprus (Paphos), Greece (Corfu, Crete, Rhodes), Italy (Bergamo), Lapland (Enontekio, Pajala), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Spain (Ibiza, Majorca, Menorca, Tenerife), Turkey (Dalaman), and the UK (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Guernsey, Jersey).
