Norwich Airport offers seasonal flights to the wonderful island of Majorca between the months of May and October. Norwich Airport offers flights on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
Majorca is part of the Balearic Islands sitting not far from the South-East coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea. Due to its location, it has a wonderful climate the year round with lows during the winter months on average of 12ºC and highs during the summer months on average of 26ºC. The water temperatures also reflect the wonderful climate and with lows during the coolest months of around 15ºC to the highs during the summer months of 26ºC it’s the perfect time to take a splash.
Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and has a variety of opportunities to offer the traveller from historic sites to visit, boat trips to take, water sports to partake in as well as more cultural or relaxing things to do.
As with all the Balearic Islands there are numerous great water sport centres on offer to the traveller. If you have no experience in some of the sports but want to experience it for the first time then what better place to try than with idyllic waters at your disposal.
There are plenty of places to see. A trip to Palma de Mallorca is highly recommended and a visit to the Cathedral le Seu should be on the travellers list. The cathedral was built in 1601 and its nave is 11 meters taller than the nave at Notre Dame, Paris. The famous Antoni Gaudi had some input on its refurbishment in the early 1900’s.
Of course, most travellers come to Majorca for the sun and sand. With over 50 beaches to choose from there should be no shortage of places to soak up the sun and if you seek quieter beaches then traveling not too far from your hotel will reveal many hidden and secluded areas.
