Important passenger update – Friday 11 September
Due to Air Traffic Control staff sickness and ongoing industrial action, Norwich Airport will close to air traffic today between 15.15 and 15.45, 17.45 and 18.15 and from 20.30 for the remainder of the day.
Airlines have been informed of the closures. Passengers should check with their airline for the latest information about their flight.
We sincerely apologise to passengers for the disruption this will cause to your journeys.

Passenger Information – A11 full weekend closure (18 – 21 Sep 2026) between Thickthorn Junction and Wymondham
A11 Full Weekend Closure between Thickthorn Junction and Wymondham – National Highways will be carrying out installation of a new bridge over the A11 as part of the A47/A11 Thickthorn Junction Improvement Scheme.
- When: from 8pm Friday 18 September to 6am Monday 21 September 2026

Planning ahead? We know many of our customers like to book airport parking early, so we understand you may be wondering why bookings aren’t yet available for stays 1 April 2027 onwards.
The good news: our official on-site parking will be available throughout Summer 2027. Bookings are expected to open before the end of this year.

Industrial action at Norwich Airport
The Prospect union has informed us that its Air Traffic Control members at Norwich Airport have voted in favour of industrial action, short of a strike, from 17th August in relation to pay and conditions. Whilst discussions are continuing to resolve this dispute, passengers are requested to check in as normal and always check with their airline for the latest information about their flight.
