Ryanair has announced a new winter service from Norwich Airport to Alicante in Spain just six weeks after launching its first ever flights from Norwich.
In April the airline started twice-weekly summer flights to Alicante, Malta and Faro in Portugal, with 60,000 extra seats.
Now, just six weeks later, Ryanair has confirmed with the publication of its winter schedule that it will continue flights to Alicante twice a week (Mon/Sat) through the winter season.
This means flights to Alicante are bookable now via ryanair.com until the end of March 2025.
Norwich Airport Managing Director Richard Pace said: “This is another huge vote of confidence in Norwich Airport by Ryanair, coming so soon after the launch of their first ever flights from Norwich.
“Alicante is a hugely popular destination and we’re delighted that Ryanair will continue twice weekly through the winter, bringing even more choice to passengers.”
In total there are 17 destinations in 10 countries being offered from Norwich Airport in 2024/25 and the addition of Ryanair means it is on track to surpass pre-covid passenger numbers when over half a million people used the airport.
